More Judicial Thoughts

The blogosphere is on fire right now over today's Supreme Court decision. Powerline had several especially good posts this afternoon (Found here, here, and here). Read them all. These guys are lawyers and they're far more eloquent than I am. Hindrocket says (what I tried to say in my SCOTUS Notes essay):
"It is hard to overstate the importance of the next several Supreme Court
appointments."

So true, and to the point. All that I can add is that several things must be done in order to ensure that conservative court nominees are confirmed. 1) Invoke the "nuclear option" in the Senate (short term) and 2) Increase the Republican Senate majority (late next year). A lot of work has to be done, we can't just sit back and hope for the best.
